Today Khayr went to the barn vardcentral for his 18 month vaccination and regular checkup.
I didn't follow because I have an appointment with my supervisor for data analyzing.
Yes.. this is first time Khayr went to see nurse alone without ibu...huuu
Tomorrow Khayr need to see a specialist in Huddinge centrum.
Since Khayr has went to NICU when he was baby, so he need to continue see a specialist here.
The idea is to folow the his development.
So far, everything goes well.
Alhamdulillah.
Khayr is 8.66kg today and 77cm tall :)
Everything is normal except his weight.
It is on border line for underweight!.
Since baby , Khayr will gain maximum 300 grams per month.
Very little if I want to compared to other child.
The nurse said it can be due to many reason.
One of them maybe because of Khayr is having pooing problem.
And also because Khayr eat very little.. sigh!
But the nurse said not to be worry.
Because he is healthy, playful and his development was ok.
But as a parent you must have this kind of feeling.
Do my child sick because he didn't progress follow the chart?
The nurse advised us to give Khayr more 'fat'.
How??
By adding olive oil in the porridge, put butter when cook potatisbullar for him.
Hmmm
I made a research after En Kam told me what the nurse said.
My keyword search is 'Healthy food for underweight toddler'
Hahahahaa.. dont you think it is funny?
Because usually I search healthy food for overweight..
Now I'm looking recipe for underweight child!
Ok, its not funny at all...huuu
What was came out from googling were:
1. Add olive oil in child food (as suggested by Khayr's nurse)
2. Add butter (again)
3. Give child full fat of yogurt (which I think quite interesting)
4. Give cheese for snack ( I need to find Halal cheese for Khayr)
5. Give child milk.. ( we doing it now)
That what I found for 30 minutes google-ing... heeee.
When I told my father about this matter, he will keep telling me that I also very skinny when I was small.
(Not anymore now!)
Is this have to do with Khayr also?
Does he follow me? Hmmmm..
Do you have any more idea for me, what to feed underweight child??
Thank you in advance !
