So it is time for the half time review.
In Karolinska Institutet, all registered Ph.D students need to do the half time review.
Basically it is all about to review your study progress.
Does it progress according to the schedule or not.
The process is first you need to choose who is the reviewers for the your study.
Or litterally it is not you who choose the reviewers, but your supervisors (obviously)
Usually, 3 reviewers will be chosen
All the reviewers should NOT have any collaboration with all of your supervisor, but have to bhe in the field of your research
So it sound difficult to me for the first time
Because one of my supervisor is the former of head of department, and a famous proffessor
She has collaborations with many people... i told you hehehehe
But of course we managed to find 3 people in the diabetic nephropathy field
Whom suitable to be the reviewer for my study... fuhhhhh
So yesterday, my supervisor sent out the invitation to all the potential reviewers
Hoping they will be agreed
Fingers crossed.
If all of them agree, half time control would be on the last day of February :)
And I should start to be busy by that time.
Beforehand, I need to prepare the manuscript to be send out to all the reviewers
And also the formal application form to the department.
And obviously, I need to prepare the slides for the presentation
Student needs to give 20 minutes presentations
Basically what we have been done, or what is the future plans
Followed by Q&A session
After all the reviewres satisfied with the answers, all the supervisors, student and reviewers will have a closed meeting to further discuss about the study progress
So wish me luck. Hope I could do my best for the half time control :)
